Most people when they hear the word law, they tend to think of today's courts and various judges, like speeding tickets, common law, and civil laws. But the Scriptures meant the Law was the first five books (Starting with Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, the five books of Moses) called the Torah. Since the invention of the printing press and since the Protestant Reformation, the Qadash (Holy) Scriptures came from the original Hebrew and Aramaic languages. Still, translators in almost every case have used an anti-Torah and anti-Hebrew approach. Contrary to the translations of most Greek manuscripts today, the original Aramaic script, namely the Peshitta, does NOT have an anti-Torah (Law) bias. And clearly show that our Savior Yâsha uphold the Torah perfectly, but that the Torah was also a pre-requisite for His disciples and anyone who follows after Him. This Scripture uses the Torah instead of Law, so that readers understand the Law is the first five books of Moses. There are 613 laws of the Torah, with a few of them already fulfilled because Christ is the ultimate sacrifice leaving us . Christ also does not require circumcision and a number of them may not apply to you at all, . The law is meant to be a guiding light that will lead us to the Messiah. With all that said and done let's crack into scripture, and see what Messiah had to say. I'll start off with Matthew 5:17 one of the most twisted scriptures in the bible that the Christian church justifies breaking the Law and covenants.
Matthew 5:17
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
Let’s take a look at the definition of destroy
and see if this means to keep or get rid of.
What CHRIST DID NOT come to do!
“THINK NOT THAT I COME TO DESTROY THE LAW”
Definition of Destroy
(Merriam Webster)
"To Destroy"
To break apart the structure of, render physically unusable, or cause to cease to exist as a distinguishable physical entity:
To put an end to; eliminate. 2. To render useless or ruin. 3. to put out of existence.
So, with his own words out of his own mouth he tells us that HE DID NOT COME TO DESTORY THE LAW. This isn’t my interpretation of this, this is the actual meaning of the word when you look up definitions and do not use the words out of context for your own needs and happiness.
What CHRIST Did Come To Do!
“To Fulfil”
Definition of Fulfill: fulfill
(Merriam Webster)
To bring into actuality; effect or make real.
To do, perform, or obey (a task or order, for example); carry out. To meet a requirement or condition), to satisfy.
In no way or in any manner is Christ saying that the law has gone away, If you don't understand dictionaries or definitions, chances are YOU can't be helped! Now we go down to the Matthew 5:18 and again Christ with his own words tells us the law will not go away until heaven and earth pass and all is fulfilled.
HAS EVERYTHING BEEN FULFILLED?
Matthew 5:18
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
You can clearly see that he said not even one part of it shall pass away, not even a period or a comma, not one little bit if it. These are not my words but the words of the Messiah that you say you follow and love. You don't love him, you hate him. He said in John 14:15 that if you love him you will keep his commandments, Then he tells you if you do that he will pray that the Father give you the Spirit of TRUTH, The spirit of the law or what most people know her as The Holy Spirit.
DO YOU KEEP THE FATHERS COMMANDMENTS?
HOW ABOUT CHRIST COMMANDMENTS?
Of course you don't!
I hope that's why you are here, To learn and educate yourself.
To say that the law was nailed to the tree with Christ is just flat out stupidity, because CHRIST literally tells us before he was hung that he didn't come to destroy the law and that nothing will pass away from the law. How much more stupid can you be to not understand what CHRIST the Messiah is telling you.
Let's move on to the next part of this and go onto Paul, well actually it will be Peter and Paul and the one gospel that they both preached.
Some people say that Paul’s gospel to the Gentiles was different from Peter’s gospel to the Jews. It is said that there were two gospels, one preached to the Jews and the law and another preached to the Gentiles about grace. This idea, however, is mistaken. We will look at some facts showing that Paul and Peter preached one gospel to both Jew and Gentile, you see there were two cultures but one gospel for both cultures. Paul must have know this if he said with his own mouth that there is only one gospel, this would make the bible contradict itself and there are zero contradictions in the bible, If read correctly in context.
He knew without a reason of a doubt that there was only one gospel for two cultures of people both Jew and Gentile.
Time to get to the next scripture In Galatians 2:7. So, if you take this verse out of context and you twist it to fit your needs, well then of course it will say there are two gospels. In it's correct context it clearly says that it was speaking of two different cultures but one gospel for the two. Paul knew it would take a different approach to speak to the uncircumcised (Of The Heart) gentiles, he knew there was no longer a divide between the clean and unclean nations of gentiles and Jews. So that means to you and I, that the law is for every nation that wishes to be with CHRIST in the Kingdom whether you are a Jew or a Gentile.
Galatians 2:7
7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles.
Paul simply means here that he was entrusted with the gospel for outreach to the Gentile nations whilst Peter was entrusted with the gospel for his work among the Jews. There were the two audiences, each requiring a special approach by the Teacher, but there were not two gospels. If this was the case why would Paul say this in Galatians before he told you.
Galatians 1:6-8
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Paul Preached to Jews
As you know, when Paul went to a place to preach, he would first enter the synagogue there and preach to the Jews. For example, "At Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed" (Acts 14:1).
Paul preached to his hearers in the synagogue with an approach targeted at Jews, and God-fearing Gentiles who were converts to Judaism (Torah Observant). Inside the synagogue, and out in the streets among pagans, Paul taught the same gospel everywhere. But in each case he would speak so as to engage his audience which was nothing more then different cultures.
In Athens Paul was stirred up by all the idols he saw. "He continued to reason in the synagogue with the Jews and those who worshipped God, and every day in the market place with those who happened to be there." He was invited by certain philosophers to speak at the Areopagus. (Acts 17:16-34).
In the Areopagus Paul tailored his speech in a different fashion from how he would talk in the synagogue. But in both places he preached one and the same gospel that Christ sent him to preach, and also sent Peter to preach. They both preached the keeping of the laws and commandments. Let me end this with some more scripture and see what Paul and Peter had to say about the law.
Romans 3:29-31
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Paul clearly says that we ESTABLISH THE LAW
Establish Definition
To institute (something, such as a law) permanently by enactment or agreement.
to make firm or stable
to introduce and cause to grow and multiply
to bring into existence
to put into a favorable position
to gain full recognition or acceptance of
Acts 5:29-33
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Christ, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
Peter's words offended the Pharisee's so much that they begin the plot to Murder him and the disciples for preaching the Law Of the Most High God. This is the same reason why they killed the Messiah, he was preaching the truth and wasn't trying to tickle ears with smooth words. Just like the pharisee's hated Christ and the apostles, YOU will hate me for telling you the truth that is in the scripture you blindly read. In conclusion ALL the prophets both minor and major all preached the law and it's importance. Go read Psalms 119 in it's entirety, it will show you how the writer tells about the law. You need to step back and ask yourself one very important question.
DO YOU OBEY MAN RATHER THAN GOD?
